At Fondachelli Fantina to enjoy a dinner exclusively based on mushrooms, from porcini soup with croutons, to pizza with mushrooms and sausage, or just porcini mushrooms with garlic and tomato, passing through an encore of fresh pasta with a "mushroom ragù with tomato" and a plain tagliatelle (this was not very appetising, it didn't have much taste) followed by a great selection of mushrooms presented and cooked in a varied way, bruschetta, cutlet and sesame, stuffed, with tomato, made into pancakes, roasted, battered, pizzaiola style with pieces of lamb, fried with potatoes, on panelle....
House wine and very welcome traditional Sicilian desserts, all homemade, tart with ricotta, mostata, piparelle, liqueurs and coffee.... all very good and generous, even the service
If you love traditional Sicilian cuisine, this is the right place. The tradition of flavors with dishes prepared as our grandmothers made them, plus we add, a sensational naturalistic panorama, to be "tasted" by taking a walk outside the restaurant, perhaps after lunch. The restaurant staff... kind, friendly and very welcoming. Go there and you will notice everything with your 5 senses!!

Finding a restaurant (with the appearance of a trattoria), in a small village with a thousand inhabitants, those little gems where you can taste and eat traditional and local dishes, and yet quite the opposite: confusion in the menu where you didn't even know the price of individual dishes. There are five of us, they advise us to take the fixed menu, where we thought it best to divide this menu because we are people who don't eat first and second starters. The menu they brought was precise enough for one person, starters minimal, surprisingly they brought samples of pasta, lamb chops but only the bone, not to mention concoctions of meatballs and sausage the size of a little finger. In short, an adventure not to be missed. repeat .

We arrived at 2.30pm and although the chef had already left, the staff made themselves available to welcome us. We only took the house starters, really excellent, and they would have also cooked the second course for us but we gave up because it was almost 4pm and it wouldn't have been fair to them.
